Local knowledge
Las Flores is one of the smallest master-planned communities in south Orange County, built in the mid-1990s between Rancho Santa Margarita, Coto de Caza, and Ladera Ranch. The entire community is roughly one square mile, organized around Las Flores Park and the Las Flores Community Center off Antonio Parkway. The community pool, the clubhouse, and the youth and adult sports leagues that run out of the park anchor most resident life. Las Flores Elementary and Las Flores Middle School — both blue-ribbon schools — sit at the center of the neighborhood and drive most of the graduation and end-of-year event calendar. Tijeras Creek Golf Club and its surrounding neighborhood share the same ZIP code and clubhouse network. Trailheads for the Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club canyons and the O'Neill Regional Park system open right off Antonio Parkway five minutes north — O'Neill covers 4,500 acres of oak and sycamore with the Trabuco Canyon and Arroyo Trabuco trails running through it. Coto de Caza and its gated country-club community are directly across Antonio to the east. There is no Metrolink stop; OCTA route 87 covers Antonio Parkway and Oso. Sol Agave caters backyard 50th birthdays across the interior loop streets, Las Flores Park pavilion quinceañeras, and Tijeras Creek member events. Every Las Flores address is inside a 20-minute drive from our Camino De Los Mares kitchen.
