Ladera Ranch is a 4,000-acre master-planned community northeast of San Juan Capistrano, built between 1999 and 2010 by Rancho Mission Viejo Company and organized into 10 named villages — Covenant Hills, Bridgepark, Terramor, Wycliffe, Avendale, Oak Knoll, Founders Park, and more — each with its own dedicated recreation amenity. Founders Park with the historic water tower and the community amphitheater is the civic anchor, and the Ladera Ranch Water Park at the top of Sansovino is the signature summer draw with three pools, a splash pad, and cabanas. Cox Sports Park adds full baseball, soccer, and skate-park capacity. Avendale Clubhouse, Terramor Clubhouse, and the Wycliffe pool complex host most resident events.
