Laguna Beach is seven miles of Pacific coastline between Corona del Mar and Dana Point, folded into steep canyons where every neighborhood — Woods Cove, Victoria Beach, Bluebird Canyon, Top of the World, Emerald Bay, Three Arch Bay — sits at its own elevation and has its own beach access. Main Beach at the mouth of Laguna Canyon Road is the civic center, with the Laguna Art Museum, the Festival of Arts / Pageant of the Masters grounds, and the Sawdust Art Festival all inside a half-mile stretch. Crystal Cove State Park at the north end preserves 3.2 miles of undeveloped coastline plus the Historic District cottages, and Aliso and Wood Canyons Wilderness Park drops down from Top of the World for one of the best inland-to-ocean hikes in the county.
